Kickoff.com has learnt that Mamelodi Sundowns supporters are making a last-minute effort to be allowed to attend their upcoming CAF Champions League match on Sunday.
Sundowns are set to host Congolese side AS Maniema Union in a return leg at Loftus Versfeld Stadium after being held to a 2-2 draw in the first leg of a CAF Champions league second preliminary round tie.
SAFA recently made the landmark decision to allow 2 000 fans to attend the recent World Cup qualifier between South Africa and Ethiopia at FNB stadium.

According to a Masandawana fan who asked to remain anonymous, several fans have engaged with management to allow them to attend Sunday's encounter.
"Yes we have engaged the club with that issue and I believe they are still talking with relevant authorities including the department of sport, SAFA and the department of health, the fans tells Kickoff.com.
"We are still waiting for feedback, the exercise that was carried out by SAFA proved to be a success.
"We believe it can also work very well for the game on Sunday."
