Sundowns confirm two loan deals

Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that full-back Malebogo Modise and Nicholus Lukhubeni will spend the 2020/21 season out on loan.

Lukhubeni was already confirmed by his new club at Tshakhuma FC's big reveal on Thursday afternoon but the 21-year-old Modise, who signed a five-year contract earlier this year, has now also secured a temporary switch.

Bafana Bafana defender Aubrey Modiba's arrival added to the presence of Lyle Lakay and veteran defender Tebogo Langerman has diminished the immediate prospects for Modise, which has led to the decision of the technical team.

The Amajita left-sided player will spend this coming season at Maritzburg United under Eric Tinkler, who has found success in a 3-4-3 formation, which would allow Modise to develop in his preferred wing-back role.

"Mamelodi Sundowns can confirm that both defenders Malebogo Modise and Nicholus Lukhubeni will be going out on season-long loans," the statement read on their official Twitter account.
