Muntari: I only want to play for Chiefs

Premiership

Ghana legend Sulley Muntari has revealed why he wants to join Kaizer Chiefs over Orlando Pirates or Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 35-year-old midfielder is currently a free agent after his short-term contract with Spanish side Albacete expired at the end of the season, and he has since returned home to Ghana.

KickOff.com broke the news last week that Muntari wants to make a move to the Absa Premiership next season, and the player himself has now confirmed that in a recent radio interview.

Referring to the conversation with South African based agent Sipho Shaven, Muntari acknowledged that Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates are attractive clubs while "the only club" he would be keen on joining is Chiefs.

The 84-time capped Black Stars midfielder went on to claim that nothing is set in stone as his family commitments take priority before his next career move, but reiterated that a swansong in Mzansi appeals to him.
