Golden Arrows coach Steve Komphela has explained his signing of Orlando Pirates defender Gladwin Shitolo.
Shitolo has joined the club on loan for next season and is familiar with the surroundings having played for the KwaZulu-Natal club before.
"We know Shitolo, he was with us here before," Komphela said. "His quality and positioning will help us, he's a great person and to be a good player you have to have a great personality. We looking forward to having him to add value."
The coach also commented on wanted man Lerato Lamola, who has been linked with a move away during the transfer window.
"Lamola is doing well at training, he's highly motivated," Komphela added. "We are looking forward to having him this coming season."
Komphela admitted Arrows are still looking to add new players.
"No coach will tell you is happy with his squad, even Real Madrid is busy with signings, so we will keep on hunting for talent," he confirmed.
"One thing for sure about Golden Arrows, they are always unearthing new players. There's always that excitement when the season starts and we are looking forward to that."
Abafana Bes'thende have already parted ways with Sandile Zuke, Siyanda Zwane and Wayde Jooste and are expected to finalise more deals before their opening league game against Maritzburg United on August 3.
