Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker has dispelled fears that he could leave the club after signing a new contract.
Barker has signed a new four-year deal with Stellenbosch after helping the team qualify for the Absa Premiership next season.
The Western Cape side is expected to unveil a new goalkeeper coach and players in the next few days before reporting back for pre-season training in preparation for the new season.
Barker is looking forward to keeping the team's status next season.
"I have signed a four-year deal," Barker tells KickOff.com. "Our first objective next season is to consolidate our status in the premier league."
Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Thela Ngobeni has already been linked with a move to Stellenbosch next season. His contract at Chloorkop is set to expire at the end of this month.
