DStv Premiership side Stellenbosch FC have completed the signing of Baroka FC midfielder Nhlanhla Mgaga to reinforce their squad ahead of next season.

Mgaga has signed a three-year deal with Stellies after successful negotiations between the club and his representatives in Cape Town on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old midfielder becomes the second player to join the Cape side from Baroka after defender Vusi Sibiya recently sealed a transfer.

Mgaga was also on the wanted list of both Sekhukhune United and Maritzburg United but favoured a move to Cape Town.

"Mgaga has signed for Stellenbosch," a source close to the player's camp revealed to KickOff.

"He signed yesterday [Wednesday]. There was interest from other teams but he opted for Stellenbosch because he believes they will offer him a good environment to improve as a player and develop his career."

Stellenbosch recently sold attacker Ashley Du Preez to Kaizer Chiefs in a blockbuster move.
