Absa Premiership newcomers Stellenbosch FC have snapped a former AmaZulu and Orlando Pirates defender.
Stellies have brought in the experience of Marc Van Heerden following his departure from Usuthu at the end of last season.
The 31-year-old, who was previously on the books of Pirates for 18 months after arriving from Chippa United in January 2017, has joined on a free transfer.
Van Heerden boasts over a decade of top flight experience, having first arrived on the professional scene with University of Pretoria in 2005.
Coach Steve Barker will therefore be hoping the former Bafana Bafana left-back will have a telling impact at the First Division champions as they prepare for their maiden Premiership campaign.
The Cape-based outfit have also added the likes of Waseem Isaacs and Zimo Brenner from Ubuntu Cape Town, Dillan Solomons from Royal Eagles, Boy de Jong from Anderlecht (Belgium) and Tshireletso Motsogi from Wits University (Varsity Cup).
They are set to open their account with a visit to Chippa United on Saturday, August 3.
