KickOff.com has gathered that Stellenbosch have brought back one of their former players after his departure from the club at the beginning of last season.
Stocky forward Waseem Isaacs spent the past season playing in the GladAfrica Championship for Cape Town All Stars after surprisingly leaving just a few games into the new season.
Isaacs had been Stellies’ top scorer in the 2019/20 campaign.
Word reaching this website is that the 30-year-old has agreed on a deal that brings him back to the club yet again.
"The deal is signed and sealed, with the player already down at work with the club. There had been considerations of other options but he has now decided to re-sign with Stellenbosch as he is familiar with the club," says a source.
Through all his time playing on the domestic football scene, Isaacs has only played for clubs from the Western Cape, including FC Cape Town, Vasco da Gama, Milano United and All Stars.
He also previously spent time playing for Zemplin Michalovce in Slovakia.
Meanwhile, Stellenbosch are set to bring in another Nigerian after opening their foreign space by sending teenage Tanzanian Ally Hussein Msengi to University of Pretoria.
The Cape-based side already have two Nigerians in Stanley Dimgba and Ibraheem Jabaar currently on their books.
