Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sphelele Mkhulise gave Gaston Sirino all the plaudits for creating the equaliser in their draw with Highlands Park.
Mkhulise ended up getting the all-important leveller after getting onto the Uruguayan's cross late in the first half.
“As you know, Sirino is a very important player for us so the moment I saw him with the ball I made that run because I know that he will pass me so I think it was a beautiful goal. So I would like to thank him as well for the assist,” Mkhulise told SuperSport TV.
Highlands had stunned the Brazilians with a sixth minute lead through Peter Shalulile bagging his 13th of the season on a lukewarm Dobsonville evening.
The Brazilians though missed a big chance to go a point off league leaders Kaizer Chiefs at the top of the Absa Premiership standings, but Mkulise and co will take the point and move on.
“Coming here we wanted to win the game, but we will take a point. I think we worked very hard and we were playing against a very hard team so I think we’ll take the point and move forward,” he said.
Sundowns now turn attention to a date with Cape Town City, who earlier today got the better of Chippa United.
