Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyanda Xulu has submitted all his documentation and will be allowed to leave the country for Israel.
Xulu signed with Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Tel Aviv after ending his three-year stint with Maritzburg United on June 30.
The KwaZulu-Natal-born defender is reported to have signed a two-year deal with Hapoel, whose 2020/21 season will be kicking off this Saturday.
KickOff.com has since had it confirmed that the the 28-year-old has obtained the necessary clearance to travel to his new home this weekend.
“He is leaving on Friday. He had to do what he was supposed to do and is leaving on Friday,” a source tells this website.
Other South African players that have previously plied their trade in Israel include Thembinkosi Fanteni, Siyabonga Nkosi, Bevan Fransman and Tshepo Masilela.
