Confirmed: Xulu joins new club abroad

Reported Orlando Pirates target Siyanda Xulu has secured the next move in his career, taking up a huge opportunity abroad.

Xulu has joined Isreali Premier League giants Hapoel Tel Aviv following his release from Maritzburg United earlier this month.

The 28-year-old, who was reportedly being eyed by Pirates, has made the most of his situation by returning abroad for a second spell after returning from Russia back in 2015.

Upon his arrival back in the PSL he endured a difficult stint with Kaizer Chiefs, who cut his stay short after just two seasons, during which he managed a mere 10 appearances.

However, the former Mamelodi Sundowns defender revived his career with 89 appearances for Maritzburg in the last three seasons, prior to his contract ending in June.

The Durban-born centre-back will now be looking to make further progress in growing his personal brand in Tel Aviv.
