Sundowns discard arrives at AmaZulu

Premiership

News coming out of KwaZulu-Natal is that AmaZulu are assessing former Mamelodi Sundowns wing-back Siyabonga Zulu.

The Orlando Pirates development product last played in the Premiership in 2019 when he made three appearances for Black Leopards.

Last year the former Bafana Bafana defender was shown the door at Chloorkop after he failed to show up for a disciplinary hearing.

After spending the whole season without a club, the 27-year-old is now trying his luck at Usuthu.

"Yes, Siyabonga Zulu the former Sundowns player, he's going under assessment at AmaZulu," a source close to the player tells KickOff.com.

The club's new chairman Sandile Zungu has already brought in the likes of Siphiwe Tshabalala and Luvuyo Memela as he looks to take AmaZulu to a new level.

Zulu enjoyed his most football at Platinum Stars and has also played for the likes of Chippa United and other first division sides on loan from Pirates.
