Shabba motivates Motsepe League side

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala has been brought in to motivate players of ABC Motsepe League team Passion FC.

Tshabalala is back in the country after parting ways with Turkish club BB Erzurumspor recently following a mutual termination of his contract.

During renegotiations in the wake of the club's relegation, Erzurumspor reportedly offered the ex-Kaizer Chiefs playmaker half his current salary.

But today 'Shabba' took the small coal-mining town in Mpumalanga by big surprise when he pitched up for Passion training under the guidance of former Orlando Pirates defender Lizo Mjembu.

Mjembu confirmed the 2010 World Cup star's presence and clarified he was only there to motivate the players ahead of the start of the new season.

"He is a close friend of the chairman and ambassador of the team," Mjembu tells KickOff.com.

"We are not signing him but only invited him to train with the club to share his experience and motivate the youngsters in the team. He is only here until Friday."

Passion will make their maiden appearance in the ABC Motsepe League in Mpumalanga this season after lawyer Brendon Tshabangu bought the club to uplift the community in Caroline.
