Siphiwe Tshabalala's much-awaited debut for AmaZulu could be delayed after the midfielder picked up a muscle injury at training.
The Kaizer Chiefs legend joined Usuthu about two weeks ago after being on the sidelines for almost a year without a club.
'Shabba' was unveiled by the Durban-based outfit as a marquee signing last month together with the likes of Luvuyo Memela, Augustine Mulenga and Limbikani Mzava.
AmaZulu spokesperson Brilliant Mkhathini says the 36-year-old faces a late fitness test ahead of their DStv Premiership match against Black Leopards on Wednesday.
"It's not a serious injury. He still has to go for a fitness test to determine if he will be available for the game against Leopards," Mkhathini tells KickOff.com.
Usuthu, who have been issued a mandate to finish in the top four by new owner Sandile Zungu, have picked up one point after two matches.
