Duo could miss Downs-Chiefs clash

Premiership

The Premier Soccer League have issued an update on the status of players ahead of this week's DStv Premiership action with three players set to miss out.

AmaZulu's Sibusiso Mabiliso, Baroka's Thamsanqa Masiya and Golden Arrows' Ntsako Makhubela are all on the League's suspension list for midweek action.

Log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns will visit second-placed AmaZulu on Wednesday afternoon (15h00) at Kings Park Stadium in what is set to be a mouth-watering clash.

The Brazilians will be hoping to bounce back from the Nedbank Cup exit at the hands of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila this past weekend, while also getting their spirits back up before facing Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs.

Siphelele Mkhulise in particular will be looking to be at his best behaviour as he sits one yellow card short of missing their tie at Loftus Versfeld scheduled for Sunday afternoon.

Chiefs, meanwhile, will host seventh-placed Cape Town City on Wednesday evening (17h00) at FNB Stadium and veteran midfielder Willard Katsande is on the suspension tight-rope ahead of their visit to Tshwane on the weekend.

Amakhosi will be hoping to maintain their eight-match unbeaten run against the Citizens and move from ninth position back into the top half of the table, to carry their momentum into Sunday's encounter.
