AmaZulu midfielder Sinethemba Sithebe was honoured with Siyabonga Nomvethe's jersey number 10 during their new kit launch.
Sithebe has been producing top performances for Usuthu for the last two seasons and Nomvethe, who recently retired, said giving Sinethemba his number is a sign of appreciation for the discipline and form the attacking midfielder has been giving to the club.
"Sithebe is a very dedicated, focused and disciplined player. I believe he has a bright future, which is the main reason I'm giving him this number," Nomvethe said.
Sithebe says it won't be easy for anyone to fill Nomvethe's shoes and the legend has always wanted to give him number 10 because of his dedication and respect for the game.
"It always been Bhele's dream to give me number 10, it's an honour for me and he told me to keep on working hard, stay disciplined," Sithebe added.
"This is huge for me to get this number and I know it will not be easy to fill his shoes, I doubt I will ever do that to be honest.
"I will just focus on my targets as a player, not thinking too much about his achievements."
