Gaxa to be honoured in Durban

Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana defender Siboniso 'Pa' Gaxa is to be honoured in his hometown of KwaMashu on Sunday.
The organisers of the We Are One festival, which aims to celebrates heroes and heroines from Inanda, Ntuzuma, KwaMashu and the surrounding areas will give honour to Gaxa for his contribution to football.
Last year the organisation led by Miss Jacinta Ngobese honoured the now-retired Siyabonga Nomvethe for everything he has done in his career and representing the area in the country and abroad.
Gaxa recently graduated from Wits University with a Political Science and Social Studies Degree.
"We usually honour men and women who have made an impact in our community through their work. We appreciate what he has done for us. Siboniso Gaxa will be amongst those we will celebrate this coming Sunday," she said.
Besides Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United, 'Pa' also represented the junior national teams and Bafana Bafana, played for Mamelodi Sundowns, Lierse in Belgium, Bidvest Wits and Ajax Cape Town.
Before the honouring of Gaxa, AmaZulu and Golden Arrows legends will battle it out on the pitch on Saturday as part of the event, which also aims to unite different races and cultures in Durban.
