Sekhukhune submit blockbuster Makume bid

As previously revealed by KickOff, Sekhukhune United have confirmed their initial interest in Baroka FC defender Bonginkosi Makume by officially submitting a transfer bid.

The 26-year-old defender is on the wanted list of several teams, including Orlando Pirates, AmaZulu FC and Richards Bay.

AmaZulu were the first team to show initial interest, but it now appears that Babina Noko has swooped in to lead the race for Makume's signature.

According to a source within Sekhukhune, the club have formalised their interest.

"We have submitted an offer," the club official reveals to KickOff.

"We are keen to sign him and hope to reach an agreement with Baroka to finalise a transfer deal this coming weekend."

Sekhukhune United have so far this off-season signed Orlando Pirates midfielder Linda Mntambo while striker Tshegofatsho Mabasa could also potentially follow suit in a loan deal.
