Official: Mabunda leaves Sundowns

Premiership

Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the exit of long-serving midfielder Tiyani Mabunda ahead of their new DStv Premiership season.

Mabunda, 33, joined the club from Black Leopards back in 2013 and initially struggled to establish himself in the first team and went out on loan to Free State Stars.

But he departs after eight years with six league titles, the CAF Champions League, CAF Super Cup, Telkom Knockout, Nedbank Cup medals and close to 150 appearances to his name.

"For all the years of service, for all the trophies and the happy memories, we say Thank You! Farewell and good luck Shuga, you'll always be ForeverYellow," the club statement read on social media.

Mabunda joins, Aubrey Ngoma, Tebogo Langerman and Keletso Makgalwa to leave the club in the current transfer window period.
