Kaizer Chiefs' signing of Swallows FC star Ruzaigh Gamaldien remains on despite reports to the contrary following Gavin Hunt's departure.
According to a well-placed source, Gamildien will still join Chiefs next season despite the sacking of Hunt.
There have been reports that the deal might be called off after it was first thought that the 32-year-old was one of Hunt's signings, and that the club's interest had since cooled.
However, the Bafana Bafana striker has already penned a deal, the details of which have now been revealed to KickOff.com.
"The player is currently in Cape Town, enjoying his holidays. He is only going back to Johannesburg next week Saturday," says the source.
"It's not clear when they [Chiefs] are going to unveil their new players, so he is waiting for communication with regards to his expected arrival at Naturena.
For now, he will regard himself as a Swallows player, but everything with Chiefs is completed now, he is just waiting for the 30th of June.
"After that, he will be unveiled. He has signed for one year plus another one-year option."
Chiefs are also expected to unveil Kgaogelo Sekgota, Given Thibedi and Sifiso Hlanti as part of their new first team contingent.
