Royal AM are reportedly preparing to meet their technical team this week with head coach John Maduka's future a doubt.
High on the meeting's agenda will be to analyse the club's poor start to their maiden DStv Premiership season.
Royal AM have had a tumultuous start to life in the top-flight after purchasing the status of Bloemfontein Celtic on the eve of the 2021/2022 campaign.
The Durban-based club are currently one of only two teams who have so far failed to register a point after two rounds of fixtures.
According to a source close to the club, it can be revealed that Maduka's future along with that of his technical team may be in doubt if results don't improve.
"There are some other issues more than the performance of the team," the source revealed to KickOff.com.
"It's just a matter of time before the club announces changes to their technical team.
"The match against Chippa United could determine the future of John Maduka and his technical team.
Maduka's technical team comprises assistants Abraham Nteo and Ditheko Mototo who could now be in the firing line at the scheduled meeting with management.
Meanwhile, South African Football Players Union (SAFPU) deputy secretary-general, Calvin Motloung confirmed a meeting with Royal AM recently where the issue of player's contracts was discussed.
Reports emerged last week that certain players failed to receive their salaries at the end of last month.
"There was a misunderstanding with the previous owners including the issue of other contracts where some players had an option.
"The club has promised to sort out the salaries of those players who did not get their salaries last month while still trying to sort out the issue of their contracts," Motloung tells Kickoff.com.
