It was reported on Monday that Maduka was set for a sensational switch to rivals Maritzburg United after guiding Royal AM to a third-place DStv Premiership finish.

Experienced campaigner Owen Da Gama has now reportedly been earmarked for a return to the DStv Premiership with Royal AM identifying him as the ideal candidate for next season.

According to a source close to Royal AM, assistant coach Abraham Nteo is also set to follow Maduka to Maritzburg.

"Maduka was set to leave Royal AM together with Ditheko Mototo and Abraham Nteo last year, but the good results which they achieved last season kept them in the team," the source reveals to KickOff.

Da Gama had previously worked with Royal AM CEO, Sinky Mnisi at Highlands Park before the latter relocated to KwaZulu-Natal.
