Ex-Kaizer Chiefs star Robson Muchichwa says the club must ignore whatever is currently happening at Bidvest Wits and only focus on winning the league.
While the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates are spoilt for choice when it comes to picking up players in Braamfontein, Amakhosi manager Bobby Motaung has been watching in envy from the sidelines.
"It's a difficult issue whereby you know you see a somebody then you can't offer him," Muchichwa tells KickOff.com in the context of Chiefs' transfer ban that prohibits the signing of players.
"There are good players at Wits, especially in central defence. It's bad for Chiefs at the moment where they are. Things are not looking good in terms of buying players.
"I would focus on the league and see some of these things after that. If we focus on such things our focus will go wrong there on the league.
"I mean five years without winning the league, you will need to focus more. Right now we just need to do a Liverpool and win the league. The league right now is the most important thing for Chiefs.
"Yes, they need to beef up the squad, but just focus on what is there. What is there is the league now."
Chiefs, who have eight Absa Premiership matches remaining, will start with a four-point lead over Sundowns when the season eventually kicks off again. The Brazilians have nine games left.
Chiefs are missing the chance to sign some top players right now, and not only from Wits
