Maritzburg United appear to be preparing for life without the sought-after Richard Ofori, with an international star ready to replace him.
Ofori, 26, has developed into one of the leading keepers in the Absa Premiership since his arrival from Legon Cities in 2017 and has since been linked with Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

With Ofori's exit seemingly imminent, reports in Ghana have emerged that Asante Kotoko captain Felix Annan has been shortlisted as his successor at the Team of Choice.
The 25-year-old was part of the Black Stars squad at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and served as an understudy for Ofori in recent years.
While the move is reported to be at an advanced stage, Annan denied the notion, claiming he was surprised to see the news dominating headlines in his homeland on Tuesday.
"I saw the news this morning on my phone but me personally, I haven't had discussions with the club," Annan tells KickOff.com.
"For now I have a contract [with Kotoko]. I've had contact with many people concerning clubs in South Africa but I have not had any official confirmation or concrete news yet."
Despite his claims that he has not received a formal approach for his services, he admits that a move to the South African top-flight appeals to his career ambitions.
"If the clubs in South Africa come for my signature, I'm ready to move on because I have to go forward [in my career] but personally there is no confirmation yet," Annan adds.
"I don't know if they [Maritzburg] have started talking to my club or not because I have not been told anything yet.
"I would love to play in the PSL. It's one of the best leagues in Africa, a good advertisement and everything. It would help me move forward in my career. It's a big step."
Meanwhile, United chairman Farook Kadodia denies a deal with Annan has already been struck but refuses to confirm whether Ofori would remain at the club beyond the end of the current season.
"It's just speculation, we have a goalkeeper. We have no reason to look for a goalkeeper right now," Kododia says.
"There's only talk [about Ofori]. When there's a concrete offer on my table then we'll talk about it. I won't say I'm confident [Ofori will still be here next season].
"You must understand me well. The thing is, if there's anything that happens later on, I can't rule it out. But at the moment we have no concrete offers."
