Rhulani: Swallows have nothing to lose

Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rhulani Mokwena says Swallows FC have nothing to lose when the two sides clash in Saturday's top-of-the-table clash.

Sundowns and Swallows sit level on points heading into Saturday's clash, although the defending league champions sit top due to a superior goal difference.

Mokwena has revealed his technical team have done their homework on the Dube Birds, who are also yet to suffer a defeat this season.

"They have got nothing to lose. That's why they play with freedom and with so much bravery. That's why the coach makes so much decisions that are brave and courageous and as they say 'the universe will favour the brave and courageous," Mokwena said.

"It's a team with a clear profile and it's a team that has got basic organisational structure of 4 2 3 1 but one that can transform to 2 3 4 1 with an aggressive and isolated wingers that are very quick and able to get behind you and deliver crosses or combination play.

"A strong and stable three in the midfield that has inverted full-backs that can take up shadow midfield positions but very comfortable on the ball and are able to develop play from build up from that situation. They have centre backs that are comfortable on the ball too and develop game in the first phase to into lines and try to get into final third where they invite you even to situation if you jump in high up you then run risk to create space for Ruzaigh Gamaldien to be able to punish you," he added.

The Brazilians will enter the highly-anticipated clash without Brian Onyango, Ricardo Nascimento and Khuliso Mudau due to injuries and other medical reasons.
