Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rhulani Mokwena has warned his players not to get carried away by the occasion of the Tshwane Derby when they meet SuperSport United on Saturday.
Sundowns head to the Tshwane Derby top of the DStv Premiership table and unbeaten this season while United are currently enjoying their best form of the season with Thamsanqa Gabuza and Bradley Grobler leading the attack.
Mokwena has reminded his players of the importance of getting maximum points on the day.
"For us it's another game. It's one of the important games Of course we can't run away for a fact it's a derby and every derby there is bragging rights. There are lot of emotional opportunities at stake," Mokwena said.
"If we play the match and not play the occasion, we should be OK. We shouldn't be carried away by the event, the occasion of being a derby. Our sole focus should be playing 11 vs 11 event that lot of difficult questions posed by opposition which we will have to answer, but we will also ask questions of them.
"Once we do that and impress our philosophy, impress our personality into the match we should be OK. Our greatest message is to play the match and not the event of course without undermining the importance of Derby, but for us is one of the 30 games we have to play this season and we have to keep going and keep working to get the results as we continue to make progress in the league this season."
