REVEALED | How latest signing chose Chiefs over Pirates

It can now be revealed how new Kaizer Chiefs signing Dillon Solomon sensationally chose the Glamour Boys over bitter rivals Orlando Pirates.

Solomons sealed a sensational transfer to the Soweto giants after impressing at fellow Soweto club Swallows FC.

The 26-year-old's representative Grant Nieuwenhuys detailed how his client chose Chiefs over the Buccaneers.

"Look, respectfully we declined the offer from Orlando Pirates," Niewenhuys tells KickOff.

"It was a personal ambition Dillon had where he informed me that he grew up as a Chiefs supporter.

"Because of this, he said in no uncertain terms that if there was a chance to clinch a move to Chiefs, he would love to go.

"It was not a money decision, he was given a good deal at Chiefs.

"Pirates also came in for him, but at the end of the day, he told me to make the Chiefs deal happen.

"Thanks to the Motaung family, they were pretty fair. Also to Pirates as well, the way they do business, was proper.

"But they understand where we came from when I informed them Dillon had made a decision to sign for Chiefs."
