Kaizer Chiefs are currently facing their worst phase in the PSL era and their former midfielder Rene Richards does not see them winning against AmaZulu today.
Usuthu are going into the game unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions while Amakhosi are coming from a shocking elimination in the Nedbank Cup at the hands of GladAfrica Championship side Richards Bay.
In the first round both teams were in a similar situation with Usuthu on form, but Chiefs managed to get three points in Durban.
But Richards believes in this afternoon's clash (15h00), McCarthy's boys will add more misery to the underperforming Amakhosi, particularly after the travel complications they have faced in recent days.
"What I do know is that Benni is a great player and coach, he definitely inspires his players to be the best that they can be," Richards tells KickOff.com.
"In my opinion a player has no choice but to be great under him. He is definitely going to add woe [to Chiefs] because of their recent form and his experience in such situations.
"Chiefs won't be lucky this time."
A win for AmaZulu would move them to sixth position while the Glamour Boys would move back to the top eight if they pick up three points at FNB Stadium.
