6 Downs stars in PSL's most valuable

Mamelodi Sundowns dominate the PSL's most valuable player list with six stars featured among players from Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United and Kaizer Chiefs.

Sundowns make up half of the the DStv Premiership's 12 most valuable players in 2021, which features only one player from Chiefs, three from Pirates and two from SuperSport.

Nine players on the list are valued at above €1-million (R18.2-million), while only three of these breach the R20-million mark.

Coming in at the tail end of the list, valued at just under R16.5-million, are Innocent Maela, Sibusiso Vilakazi and Aubrey Modiba, while the top sees a 'big-three' balance of the likes of Khama Billiat, Themba Zwane and Thulani Hlatshwayo.

The two Matsatsantsa stars featured are Bafana Bafana number-one goalkeeper Ronwen Williams and highly sought after midfielder Teboho Mokoena.

Also featured somewhere in between are Thapelo Morena, Namibian duo Deon Hotto and Peter Shalulile, as well as Andile Jali.

The youngest players on the list are former teammates Mokoena and Modiba, who are aged 24 and 25 respectively, with Zwane, Hlatshwayo and Vilakazi the oldest at 31.
