Mamelodi Sundowns' domestic treble success last season makes sure their star-studded squad has dominated nominations across the competitions except for the MTN8 Last Man Standing title, which their Tshwane rivals SuperSport United will definitely take home.

Ronwen Williams, Bradley Grobler and Clayton Daniels have all been listed for the MTN8 title after Matsatsantsa took the crown home with only one goal conceded in three games.

And it comes as no surprise to see Nurkovic and Zwane in contention for the biggest prize of them all for the last campaign having been two of the standout players in one of the most enthralling title runs in South African football history.

Zwane played a pivotal role for Masandawana as former head coach Pitso Mosimane secured his record fifth league title and with 14 goals and 12 assists in 41 games in all competitions, his name was destined to be amongst the PSL's elite.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs striker Nurkovic took the league by storm after arriving from the Slovenian second division as a relatively unknown figure to local fans with 13 goals and six assists in 26 league games, single-handedly keeping them in contention for the title.

On an individual scale, the 28-year-old Serbian pulled off one of the most dominating debut seasons the PSL has ever seen but with no silverware secured, it could count against the Amakhosi star.

In the second-biggest awards category 'Mshishi', Hlompho Kekena and Lebogang Manyama have been nominated for the Absa Premiership Players' Player of the Season award.

Ernst Middendorp, now with Saint George SC in Ethiopia, has been nominated alongside Eric Tinkler and new Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane in the Coach of the Season category.
