Aces held by Phunya Sele Sele

Khenyeza, who is at the centre of a lengthy disciplinary dispute with the PSL, received a caution straight after his goal for lifting his shirt over his head in the celebrations, revealing a hand-written statement on his vest, which read: 'Never end?'

The ex-Ajax Cape Town forward's first-half strike, however, was cancelled out by a last-gasp equaliser from substitute Lerato Manzini.

In the opening stanza, Aces' Thabo Qalinge threatened nine minutes in, stepping in sharply from the left before flashing a shot narrowly wide of Patrick Tignyemb's goal.

Soon after, Lerato Lamola's low attempt drew a regulation save from AmaZayoni goalkeeper Bafana Nhlapo.

The hosts then tried their luck from distance via efforts from Man of the Match Clifford Ngobeni and Qalinge, while at the other end Musa Nyatama dragged a shot just across the face of goal shortly after the half-hour mark.

Aces, however, broke the deadlock eight minutes before the break through Khenyeza, who beat Tignyemb with a wonderful volley from range.

AmaZayoni suffered a set-back three minutes after the interval, as Abel Mabaso was forced off with hip flexor problem, with Vincent Kobola taking his place.

Phunya Sele Sele came agonisingly close to equalising in the 69th minute through Manzini, but he struck the cross bar with a fine header off a left-wing cross 10 minutes after replacing Vuyani Ntanga.

Manzini, though, stabbed the ball home from close range with the last kick of the game to snatch a point for his side.
