Pitso Mosimane admits he is dying to see "who is the clever German" between Josef Zinnbauer and Ernst Middendorp during the Soweto Derby on Saturday.
His team might be in Cairo for the CAF Champions League quarter-finals against Al Ahly on the same day, but it won't stop 'Jingles' from keeping one eye on South Africa's biggest fixture.
German compatriots Zinnbauer and Middendorp will meet for the first time in a Soweto Derby even though Middendorp has already beaten the Mighty Buccaneers twice this season.
The pair were spotted sitting together to watch a recent league match between Bidvest Wits and Black Leopards.
Mosimane now wants to see who is going to emerge as the best between the two at FNB Stadium, even though we know who the Mamelodi Sundowns coach will be supporting.
"Let's see who is the smarter German amongst the two," Mosimane said.
"It's interesting. I would be watching who is the clever German because that time there is no friendship. It's a Derby. You have to make sure your people are happy.
"It's not even [the position on] the log. It's the Derby. It's Pirates and Chiefs Derby.
"Maybe JZ will claim his first Derby. Middendorp might have the experience that he did and might win, we don't know. It's a long way to go."
