With the transfer window set to close soon, Mamelodi Sundowns could still let go of players who are not getting opportunities to play.
Sundowns have already let go of players such as Cuthbert Malajila, Mogakolodi Ngele and Thokozani Sekotlong and they could be followed by the likes of Aubrey Ngoma, Jeremy Brockie, Jose Ali Meza and George Lebese, who has not been training with the club as he hopes to secure a move before deadline day.
“It’s football. Everybody wants to play. I was a football player and I would not be happy [if there is no game time], it’s normal. But when you sulk at Sundowns we don’t accept that, and when you sulk you are not going to play.
“You must know that when you start sulking and you have your own thing of being about yourself…it should be about ‘what can I do for the team?’ and not ‘what the team can do for me’. And by the way, everybody plays at Sundowns. Those people who say that they don’t have enough game time, give me their names and I’ll tell you how many games they’ve played and where they’ve played.
“Everybody plays at Sundowns. You know why? Because the program is heavy. Unless you say you want to be in the starting line-up every week, but you must force yourself into the team. Some people don’t even come to training and they ask ‘why am I not playing?’ If you sulk in the team, you are not going to play.”
