Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has revealed that he voted for an Orlando Pirates player for the PSL Footballer of the Season award.
Thembinkosi Lorch, Themba Zwane and Hlompho Kekana have been nominated for the big prize at the PSL Awards ceremony to be held in Durban on Sunday.
Lorch is favoured to win the much-coveted gong after a stellar season in which he helped The Buccaneers finished second in the league for a second time in succession.
Even though he remains vocal about Kekana to win the award, Mosimane has let the cat out of the bag to confirm that he actually voted for Lorch.
"I don’t want to say who I voted for but I voted for a player of Orlando Pirates," said Mosimane.
"It's because I think the player has done very well, he works hard. I like goals, I like people who score goals. You can't play and dribble and dribble every day but where are the goals?
"You have to score the goals and this player has done very well. I also voted for him but my vote goes to Kekana if I have to vote [for a player from my team]."
