Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane was surprised to hear Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer talking about their league game last week already.
Sundowns play Pirates on Tuesday but Zinnbauer was talking about his side's game against The Brazilians last weekend while Mosimane's team was still playing in the CAF Champions League against Al Ahly.
Mosimane's side still had two matches to play before thinking about Pirates, the first of which they won 1-0 against Stellenbosch on Wednesday.
Sundowns play Highlands Park in the Nedbank Cup on Saturday (18h00) before meeting Pirates next week Tuesday.
The Buccaneers, meanwhile, will have had 10 days to prepare for the game by the time Tuesday comes around.
"It's difficult for us. We are playing against well-rested teams. I heard the coach of Orlando Pirates, I was surprised, because Pirates are speaking about our game. What I forgot is that it's their next game," Mosimane said.
"I have my mess here. I have got Highlands Park and last week the Pirates coach was speaking about my game. When I realised I said it's okay, they are going to be well rested and waiting for us.
"I was reading again today Owen Da Gama talking about our game. I said we are in trouble. But that's the price you pay when you are ambitious and greedy."
