Pitso: Sundowns will go five in a row

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has issued a bold guarantee for the last five games of the season to ensure he wins the league again.

Sundowns had a chance to close the gap on top of the league table this week but their game against Orlando Pirates, which had been set for Loftus Stadium on Tuesday, was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Brazilians are four points behind leaders Kaizer Chiefs with one game in hand and have nine games left before the end of season.

Mosimane is confident his team will have another strong finish in their effort to keep the Absa Premiership trophy at Chloorkop.

"I remember last year, we were fighting for the league with Orlando Pirates. At this point in time, I remember we were in Morocco," Mosimane recalled.

"I think we were seven or eight points behind but Pirates had played three or two more games. We managed to come back and do it.

"I am happy that at home we have been winning games. I like the confidence and string of wins because I am waiting for the last five games.

"We will go five in a row [unbeaten], that one I can guarantee. Last five, we will go five in a row."
