Pitso's declaration before Chiefs clash

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane does not believe the crunch league clash against Kaizer Chiefs on Thursday will be a title decider.

Sundowns boosted their aspirations of retaining the Absa Premiership trophy after edging Golden Arrows 1-0 at Dobsonville Stadium on Monday.

The Brazilians now trail log leaders Chiefs by three points and have a chance to draw level on points if they beat Amakhosi at Orlando Stadium (18h00).

Mosimane has refused to agree the league destination this season could be decided in Soweto on Thursday.

"Funny enough I don't think Thursday is a title decider. The way I know these things, the way I have been with these things, sometimes it might be decided at the last match," said Mosimane after the win over Arrows.

"We might not even win against Chiefs. Of course we want to win to make everything correct, but mathematically the league is not won on Thursday.

"How many more points do we have [to play for]? So we deserve a chance, we deserve a break. Like I always say, 'May is too far.'

"This thing still has a heartbeat. You have to buckle up. We are all feeling the pressure. We are all feeling the stress."

Sundowns will welcome back midfielder Andile Jali against Chiefs following suspension but centre-back Ricardo Nascimento will be serving the second of a two-match ban.
