Pitso Mosimane has explained the absence of a relatively new face at Mamelodi Sundowns and revealed somewhat of a fresh injury crisis at Chloorkop.
Lucky Mohomi and Aubrey Ngoma are the only registered players who have not seen any action with Sundowns this season.
Ngoma made a brief appearance in the Shell Helix Ultra Cup match against Kaizer Chiefs but only lasted for 45 minutes while the former Free State Stars man has not even eaten a pre-match meal with The Brazilians this season.
"Mohomi is forever injured. He didn't play in the Shell Helix Cup... Lucky, which match are you going to play?" said Mosimane.
"Everybody is asking when is the game time. It's beyond the pitch. Be available for selection. The best thing a player can have [to play] is availability."
Meanwhile, 'Jingles' is sweating over a few injuries ahead of their league match against Highlands Park at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday.
Both Andile Jali and Hlompho Kekana were stretchered off during the 5-0 Telkom Knockout win over Amazulu in Tshwane on Sunday.
"Kekana is slightly injured. AJ we have to see, I think it's his calf. Calf is a difficult injury, it's more difficult than a hamstring injury," explained Mosimane.
"Wayne Arendse has a knee injury. Shuga [Tiyani Mabunda] is not ready. He is training but not ready. [Emiliano] Tade is a little bit behind. Laffor is far behind."
Mosimane recently ruled out Oupa Manyisa for the rest of the season based on his initial assessment following an Achilles injury he picked up in the Shell Cup, meaning he could actually be short on numbers in central midfield for the clash against the Lions of the North.
