Pitso puzzled over Brockie's Downs ban

Pitso Mosimane has thrown some confusion into the issue of Jeremy Brockie playing for Maritzburg United against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Brockie has joined United on a one-year deal from Sundowns and it was widely reported last week that part of the deal states that the striker will not be allowed to play against his parent club.

Sundowns and Maritzburg meet in a league match at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, and Mosimane revealed that his team is still preparing to play against the New Zealander.

"I don't know that Brockie is not going to play [on Saturday]. I have read about that [in the media]. I don't know that Brockie is not going to play," said Mosimane.

"All I know is all players that have gone to the other side have played against us. I am not sure. In fact, I have not been informed about that. If it's like that I don't know.

"We have passed that stage of whoever doesn't play against us. [Rodney] Ramagalela has played against us. He scored against us, we won the league. Everyone played and scored against us, we won the trophies.

"So I am not sure about it, probably you have your own scoops and sources."

Sundowns will be hoping to bounce back after being booted out of the MTN8 in the semifinals SuperSport United 3-1 on aggregate.
