Mosimane eyes victory over PLK City

The Brazilians will be hosting City at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium as they continue playing catch-up in the league. Kick-off is set for 19h30.

Mosimane emphasised that tonight's clash against Rise and Shine, who are without a head coach following the departure of Luc Eymael last week, is a must-win, but believes there's less pressure after their title rivals also dropped points last week.

"It's a must-win game; it's a game that we have to win because games in hand are not anything, even though other people are not winning also," said 'Jingles'.

"I told you we will stumble, but who is winning? SuperSport is not winning; Kaizer Chiefs didn't win against Pirates; Bidvest Wits didn't win. We are okay," he added.

Meanwhile Mosimane has also congratulated young forward Percy Tau on his first call-up to the Bafana Bafana squad, announced last week.

"I am happy for him. He is still young, you saw the pressure on him on Friday [against Kampala City Council] after being called up for the national team," he added.

"The mistake in front of goal and, after he missed the goal, he was never the same. But he is young, he has to go through that; it's a learning curve, it's important, it's good."

After tonight's game, Downs face a trip to Kampala, where they will take on the Kasasiro Boys in their CAF Champions League first round, second leg clash on Saturday (16h00).

The African champions defeated the Ugandans 2-1 in the first leg encounter played at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Tshwane last week.
