Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane paid tribute to South African football legend Jomo Sono for the role he played throughout his soccer career.
Sono was presented with a framed Al Ahly jersey as part of Mosimane's initiative Pitso wa Leboga to thank various officials in the country for the role they played in football in the country.
The Red Devils coach through agency MT Sports Management visited numerous clubs including Amazulu, Kaizer Chiefs, Sekhukhune United and Cape Town City to hand over a framed Egyptian team's soccer jersey.

"Our final gift handover for #PitsowaLeboga had to be big. @TheRealPitso requested we honour the football legend, Chairman Jomo Sono of Jomo Cosmos F.C. Mr Sono discovered @TheRealPitso's talent when he played as a young man.
"Together with Mr Stanley Tshabalala, @TheRealPitso’s professional football career was launched. This is the epitome of humble beginnings. Coach Pitso also thanked Mr Sono for his contribution to football. He is known for identifying talented players and developing them.

Pitso Mosimane is currently enjoying a perfect start to the Egyptian Premier League season with Al Ahly winning their opening six games at the start of this season.
