What Chiefs need to be 'unstoppable'

Kaizer Chiefs defender Philani Zulu believes it is only a matter of time before they become a "perfect" and "unstoppable" team under new coach Gavin Hunt.

Chiefs have endured mixed fortunes in their opening four games of the season under Hunt thus far, while their transfer ban has also been a dark cloud above their heads.

Amakhosi have registered two victories – one in the MTN8 quarter-final and one in the DStv Premiership – while suffering two 3-0 defeats to rivals Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates respectively.

The two defeats have sent many of the club's supporters into a state of hysteria, but Zulu believes they are still in the infancy stage of their rise with the newly-formed technical team.

"We have to put what happened [against Pirates] back in the past and just continue looking forward to the next match," defended the 28-year-old.

"We can't dwell on the past but just to work on our mistakes, and try get together in working forward because we need each and every match to perform at our best and get the results required.

"From the games we've won, we took out all the positives and tried to work on them in the following games, it's just that we need to have that bit of a bite going forward and even in our defence.

"Because we work so hard in training and we try our best to execute it in the game, we just need to work on those little mistakes and elements to add onto our game, then we'll be a perfect team, we'll be unstoppable."

Chiefs will this evening (19h30) entertain top-flight rookies TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium in their third league clash of the season.
