Patrice Motsepe has called an emergency meeting at Mamelodi Sundowns as reports that Pitso Mosimane has resigned reverberate across the continent.

Despite TimesLive breaking the story this morning, Sundowns are yet to come out to officially announce Mosimane's resignation.

KickOff.com confirmed this morning that 'Jingles' has already been offered the coaching position at Egyptian giants Al Ahly to succeed Rene Weiler.

It is now understood that the Sundowns president has called a meeting at Chloorkop to discuss a way forward with regards to the latest developments.

"The president has called an emergency meeting to discuss the issue of the coach," a source at Sundowns reveals. "The club is expected to release a statement this afternoon."
