Former Bidvest Wits midfielder Paseka Sekese is being lined up for a return to the Premiership next season with three clubs understood to be chasing his signature.
Sekese has found himself stuck in the National First Division for the last few season despite showing huge promise upon being promoted to Wits' first team back in 2015.
The 27-year-old winger, however, could finally be back in the top flight next season with at least three clubs from KwaZulu-Natal showing interest in his services.
According to information gathered by KickOff.com, Maritzburg United, AmaZulu and Royal AM have made enquiries about the Richards Bay captain's availability for the 2021/22 season.
"There are three clubs after Sekese. All of them are based in KwaZulu-Natal. He was supposed to have joined Kaizer Chiefs last season but the deal couldn't go through, after the club was banned from signing players," says a source.
"He is still considering the three offers but definitely he will be playing in the PSL [top flight] next season."
Sekese's manager, Lizwe Mthethwa has confirmed having received interest in his client from Premiership clubs but refused to divulge the names of the clubs.
"The boy has been long overdue for a PSL contract. We finally have PSL interest. In fact, one of the teams has made an offer, but for now we need him to focus on helping Richards Bay in the play-offs."
With ongoing disputes in the GladAfrica Championship, it is not yet known what will become of the play-offs, which was initially scheduled to kick-off next week but has since been postponed to June 13.
