Defender Alfred Ndengane is in line to make his first start under coach Josef Zinnbauer at Orlando Pirates when they take on AmaZulu on Saturday.
Ngengane is yet to start for Pirates since Zinnbauer took over coaching reins at the Mighty Buccaneers.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic defender last started for Pirates last year when the Soweto giants played Stellenbosch in Cape Town.
Ndengane was guilty of the defensive error that contributed to Stellies scoring the winning goal to secure their first victory over Pirates since their promotion to the top tier.
However, Bucs are minus defenders Ntsikelelo Nyauza and Abel Mabaso for the clash against Usuthu due to suspension after picking up their fourth bookings against Highlands Park last week.
Meanwhile, Zinnbauer is set to make a big decision on whether to keep Paseka Mako and Bongani Sam in the starting line-up after they performed well against the Lions of the North.
Mako replaced Vincent Pule in the starting eleven and scored the third goal that helped Bucs win 3-1 at Orlando Stadium, while Sam came in at left-back for Innocent Maela.
