A PSL coach is not happy with people spreading rumours that he said Mamelodi Sundowns' three-coach setup is like a 'fruit salad'.
According to those rumours, Owen Da Gama reportedly turned down an opportunity to be part of the league champions' technical team because there were already two many hands in the pot.
"This is not true, I did not say that," Da Gama tells KickOff.com.
"I congratulated Sundowns on the appointment of coaches Manqoba Mngqithi, Rhulani Mokwena and Steve Khompela as this will bring continuity, stability and experience to the Sundowns team.
"As my fellow South African coaches I am positive that they will maintain and even go further with Sundowns.
"I furthermore believe the appointments of coach Mandla Ncikazi, Joel Masutha, Ayanda Dlamini, Dan Malesela and Macdonald Makhubedu are all positive signs of how well local coaches have done.
"To crown it, the historic move of coaches Pitso Mosimane and Cavin Johnson shows how good our local coaches are. May God bless them all and give the prosperity.
"I don't know who comes up with these false sayings that I supposedly said."
Da Gama is currently without a club after Highlands Park was sold toTS Galaxy, while a proposed move to Tshakhuma FC broke down.
