Manyisa, Laffor futures uncertain

Premiership

The future of midfielder Oupa Manyisa and striker Anthony Laffor at Chippa United will be decided at the end of the PSL relegation/promotion play-offs.

Manyisa and Laffor signed short-term contracts with Chippa until the end of the season but could be leaving should they not secure their top-flight status.

The Chilli Boys have been given a second chance to keep their status in the play-offs after finishing 15th in the DStv Premiership.

Lehlohonolo Seema's side is set to host Richards Bay in their first match of the mini-league at the Nelson Bay Stadium on Friday.

"Chippa United have [an] option to renew both Manyisa and Laffor but the club is scared to do that with their future in the PSL uncertain," a source confirmed to KickOff.com.

"The club will wait until 30 June to see if they exercise the options in their contracts."

Thabiso Lebitso (29) is one of the players said to be leaving the club with his contract expiring at the end of this month while Mamelodi Sundowns loanee Nyiko Mobbie will remain for the play-offs.

The Chilli Boys are expected to negotiate with Sundowns for the right-back until the end of this month after his season-long loan deal was due to expire.
