Bucs to offer Ovono three years


The 21-year-old, who impressed as his country reached the Africa Cup of Nations semifinals last month, has been training with the Buccaneers in the hopes of winning a contract.

A KickOff.com source at the club says the player has done enough to impress the technical team and will put pen to paper on a three-year deal soon.

Ovono’s expected arrival will raise questions over Brighton Mhlongo’s future. Pirates signed Siyabonga Mpontshane in January, and also have Philani Zikalala on their books.
