KickOff.com has gathered that Orlando Pirates are preparing to launch a bid for the services of a Maritzburg United striker.
Hlongwane has caught the eye of Pirates' scouts following his exploits in the league, which helped Maritzburg survive relegation at the end of the past season.
The 20-year-old has since earned a call-up to Bafana Bafana for this evening's international friendly match against Uganda to be played at Orlando Stadium.

According to a source close to the Buccaneers, the KwaZulu-Natal-born striker is among the players on the Soweto giants' wanted list ahead of the 2021/22 season.
"Hlongwane is in demand. He is among the players that Orlando Pirates want to sign for next season," says the source.
The source also revealed that the deal could include defender Tebogo Tlolane, who spent the past two seasons on loan in Pietermaritzburg.
"There could be a swap deal that involves Tebogo Tlolane going the other way," he adds.
Hlongwane, who was promoted from the Team of Choice's youth development in 2019, managed three goals and three assists in 14 starts in 2020/21.
Maritzburg United are also expected to lose former Bucs striker Thabiso Kutumela, who is linked to both Mamelodi Sundowns and AmaZulu.
