Orlando Pirates interim co-coach Fadlu Davids has provided a surprising update on Thembinkosi Lorch who's been a notable absentee.
Pirates secured a morale-boosting 1-0 win over Swallows FC on Saturday afternoon in the DStv Premiership thanks to a stunning header from second-half substitute Tshegofatso Mabasa securing three points.
The win moved Pirates to five points after two draws in their opening two games and while there was optimism after the clash, questions marks surrounded the continued absence of their attacking talisman.
"Lorch, we won't see him for the rest of the year, he's out with a long-term injury," Davids said after the win on Saturday.
With the likes of Vincent Pule, Deon Hotto and Kabelo Dlamini starting in a front-three before Mabasa's second-half cameo, Davids admitted the technical team are working tirelessly to improve their efficiency in the attacking third.

"We're in the process of trying to fix the team and most importantly in the performance, if we can continue to perform this way, [with] more fluidity in our attack, more shots at goal, more domination from start to finish," Davids added.
"We are able to do it for a certain period of time, the type of football, the type of dominance we want to have, that is what we're zooming out [of] and looking at the bigger picture of where we want to go."
The next challenge for Pirates in the league arrives next Saturday when they travel to Gqeberha to face Gavin Hunt's Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium (15h00).
